2007

Thursday, April 12: The author was guest speaker at the Stone Mountain (GA) Women's Club, which is part of the General Federation of Women's Clubs. She discussed Finding Susan and addressed the topic of domestic violence.

Friday and Saturday, April 20-21: The author participated in the Southern Kentucky Book Fest in Bowling Green, KY. She signed copies of Finding Susan and participated in a panel discussion on memoir writing and healing.

Monday-Sunday, July 23-29: The author lead a seminar on Writing and Healing at Ghost Ranch Education and Retreat Center in Abiquiu, NM. To register for this seminar, go to the Ghost Ranch website (www.ghostranch.org) and print out a registration application.

Friday, August 10: The author lead a 2-hour discussion as part of a state-mandated continuing judicial education program for 70 state court judges studying issues surrounding domestic violence. Finding Susan was a required text for the course, which consists of 16 hours of classroom instruction. The discussion was held at Chateau Elan resort in Braselton, GA.

Saturday, August 25: The author was the keynote speaker at the annual dinner meeting of the Georgia Federation of Women's Clubs, Macon, GA.
